Supports brain health. Omega-3 fatty acids are part of healthy brain cells, and the brain has a particularly high level of DHA. The Omega-3 fatty acids in krill oil are delivered in the form of phospholipids, which allows them to cross the blood-brain barrier easier.
Memory. Yurko-Mauro studied the effects of the DHA of algae in the memory of healthy older adults. The study revealed the following results, after six months of treatment, the performance in memory tests improved significantly. After completing treatment, the memory and learning skills of the participants were equivalent to that of persons "three years younger."
Neuroprotection. A study conducted in 2010 found that the DHA found in neuroprotectors promotes a good neural signaling and brain health in general.
